Your Right to Delete
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data and account information from Hilo at any time. This page explains how to do so.
How to Request Data Deletion
To delete your data from Hilo, please follow these steps:
- Log in to your Hilo workspace.
- Navigate to Settings → Workspace within the app.
- Click "Delete Workspace" and confirm the action. This will permanently delete your workspace, all conversations, contacts, and associated data.
- Alternatively, you can email us at privacy@hilo-chat-hub.lovable.app with your account email address and a request to delete your data. We will process your request within 30 days.
What Data Is Deleted
When you request deletion, we remove the following data associated with your workspace:
- Account and workspace profile information
- WhatsApp conversation history and messages
- Contact lists and customer phone numbers
- Product catalogs and uploaded media
- Analytics, templates, and automation settings
- Connected WhatsApp Business API credentials
Data Retention After Deletion
Once deletion is confirmed, your data is permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days. Some residual data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days, after which it is automatically purged. We do not retain any personally identifiable information beyond this period.
Third-Party Data
Deleting your Hilo workspace will stop message synchronization with Meta/WhatsApp. However, message data previously transmitted through Meta’s systems is subject to Meta’s own data retention policies. We recommend contacting Meta directly if you have questions about data held by them.
